Volunteer Volleyball Coach
The Pickens County YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic Volleyball coach for girls ages 7-10 or 11-14. Volleyball season runs April 18 through June 9. Candidates must possess knowledge of basic volleyball. Prior coaching experience recommended. Volunteers and staff represent the YMCA in all they do and must uphold the values of the YMCA mission at all times. Preferred 18 years or older. Practice times vary for each age group assigned, but are generally weeknights for one hour between 6-9pm. Games are weeknights and/or Saturdays. Safety First

The safety of the kids is our first priority!

Communication

Communication of changes in practice, games and other activities are a huge priority in the success of sports programs.

Everyone Plays

We want every child to gain skills and develop a love for sports! This can only be accomplished if every child is given the opportunity to participate.

Positive Competition

The focus is not to win at all costs, but coaching your athletes to compete well, do their best and strive to win within the rules.

Role Model

Be positive. Have a sense of humor. Be on time. Be consistent. Be fair. Display the YMCA values.

Have Fun

As a coach you are blessed with an awesome opportunity to influence children's lives through sports. It is important for you to enjoy yourself and your players in their successes. If you are having fun then your players will too.

· Your donations are also tax-deductible.

How your donation helps

· Provide scholarships to be given out to those that can’t afford our programs in hopes that all children have a chance to participate in a positive environment

· Keep program fees affordable for our community

· Provide funding to purchase supplies

Basic Team Sponsor Information

Cost: $150 per team

Team Sponsorship Includes:

· Business name on back of team jerseys

· Name on sponsor banner displayed throughout the season

· Name on sport’s page of YMCA website for the year
