$175. Cost includes books, rescue mask, certification cost and a $20 non-refundable pre-course fee.

Participation Requirements and Additional Information

  • Participant must be at least 15 years of age by the final test date.

  • Participant must pass a pre-course swimming skills test including:        

    • Swim 300 yards continuously: 4 lengths freestyle, 4 lengths breast stroke, 4 lengths freestyle or breast stroke.

    • Swim 20 yards and retrieve a 10lb brick from the bottom of the pool and return carrying the brick in 1 min and 40 secs.

  • Upon successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a 3 year American Red Cross lifeguarding and first aid certification. The participant will also receive a 1 year American Red Cross CPR and AED for lifeguard certification.

  • If the participant does not pass the course, a refund will not be issued nor will there be discounts for another course.

  • There is a minimum of 5 participants required to hold a class.
