Participation Requirements and Additional Information
- Must be 16 years of age on or before the final scheduled session of the course.
- Successfully complete the Fundamentals of Instructor Training course (will be offered as a part of each class)
- Demonstrate following swimming skills:
- Swim the following strokes consistent with the Stroke Performance Charts, Level 4:
Front Crawl—25 yards
Back Crawl—25 yards
Breaststroke—25 yards
Elementary Backstroke—25 yards
Sidestroke—25 yards
Butterfly—15 yards
- Maintain position on back for 1 minute in deep water (floating or sculling).
- Tread water for 1 minute.

If the participant does not pass the course, a refund will not be issued nor will there be discounts for another course.
