Water Fitness

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

NATIONAL ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION CLASS
A low impact class for those who have arthritis or any other joint disorders. The focus is on range of motion, stretching, and strengthening. There is a core muscle strengthening and development element just by being in the water and moving. There is also an emphasis on improving balance for carried over safety on land. This is a time to gather together, support one another, and have fun, while gently getting into shape.  Non-swimmers welcome.

SHALLOW WATER FITNESS
Provides a high-intensity workout using water resistance without the impact of traditional land classes.
Exercises are performed with foam noodles and dumbbells in shallow water. 

SILVER SPLASH
A fun, shallow water exercise class that uses a signature splash board to increase movement and intensity options. Splash is suitable for all skill levels and is safe for non-swimmers. The pool provides many benefits when used for aerobic exercise and resistance training.

WATER FITNESS
A high intensity cardiovascular workout that can be modified for all levels and keeps you moving throughout the duration of the class. Designed to improve endurance, strength, flexibility, agility and balance. Resistance equipment is provided and can be used. Workout can be done in shallow and/or deep water.

WATER EXERCISE
Provides all the benefits of a group fitness class without the impact on your joints. In this class you can develop muscle tone and endurance in a cardiovascular workout to strengthen muscles. Resistance equipment is provided and can be used. A great class for people at various fitness levels.

AQUA RHYTHMS
Moderate to intense cardiovascular water workout. Fun and invigorating dance moves to upbeat music that anyone at any age can do in shallow water. If you like Zumba and love water this a great mix. 45 minutes of making waves and 15 minutes of core and upper body workout. Water shoes are
recommended.
