Emily Snelson

Emily Snelson is the Childcare Director for the Powdersville YMCA. Emily believes strongly in the Y mission and strives to represent the values of caring, respect, honesty, responsibility, and faith for the children in our programs. Emily recently graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Child Development and Family Studies, with a minor in Psychology.

Before joining us at Powdersville, Emily worked at the YMCA of Greater Charlotte for the past six years in a variety of roles in Camp and After School, including working as a Counselor, Kindergarten Coordinator, and Day Camp Assistant Director. 

When she’s not working, you can find Emily at the gym, going for walks in Greenville with her fiance, or trying out a new restaurant. Emily is so excited to be a part of the mission here at Powdersville and can’t wait to meet all of you!
