Kids Triathlon

SWIM, RIDE, RUN & HAVE FUN!

Get ready for an exciting morning of swimming, biking, and running at the Powdersville YMCA’s Kids Triathlon in September! Children will receive a race bib to wear during the race, and every finisher will go home with a medal and a t-shirt.

This fun event gives young athletes the opportunity to challenge themselves in a safe and encouraging environment designed for kids of all fitness levels. Children will swim, bike, and run, with distances determined by age group.


Course Lengths

  • 4 – 5 year olds: Swim 25 yards – Bike 400m – Run 200m
  • 6 – 7 year olds: Swim 50 yards – Bike 400m – Run 200m
  • 8 – 10 year olds: Swim 75 yards – Bike 600m – Run 400m
  • 11 – 12 year olds: Swim 100 yards – Bike 800m – Run 600m

Things to Know

  • All participants should bring their own type of “bike” (bicycle, training wheels, tricycle, scooter, big wheel, etc.)
  • Lifejackets will be provided for the swim portion, if needed. Participants can bring their own lifejackets or puddle jumpers.
