Who are YMCA Internships for?

  • College students seeking hands-on experience in nonprofit work, sports management, marketing and communications or childcare programs. 
  • Students who want to gain practical experience while making an impact in their community.
  • Internships lasting 12-16 weeks. 
  • 10-15 hours per week commitment. 
  • Individuals interested in leadership development and learning how a nonprofit organization operates. 

Internship Opportunities: Apply Today

Assist in planning and operating youth and adult seasonal sports programs that support the YMCA’s mission. Responsibilities include scheduling games and practices, supporting events and leagues, supervising participants and volunteers, and helping maintain facilities. The role also involves building relationships with members.

Develop and help launch a volunteer homework assistance program, recruiting and training volunteers. Assist with planning and promoting programs while evaluating and improving existing childcare programs. Support risk management efforts and build positive relationships with children, families, and YMCA members.

Create and manage marketing content for the YMCA, including writing articles, producing videos, and developing engaging social media posts. Design promotional graphics while following YMCA branding guidelines. Assist with marketing strategy by using data, trends, and organizational goals to support communications and outreach.
