Jacob Southerland is the Assistant Aquatics Director at the Easley YMCA, part of the YMCA of Easley, Pickens & Powdersville. He began transitioning into his new role in May 2025 after working in our Aquatics Department for the past year.
In this role, Jacob supports all aspects of the Aquatics Department. Including staff scheduling, swim lessons, swim team operations, pool parties, and lifeguard responsibilities. His passion for aquatics and enthusiasm for serving others make him a strong addition to our leadership team as we continue to grow our programming.
Jacob recently graduated from Easley High School and is excited to build his career at the Y, where he can combine his love for the water with his desire to make a positive impact in the community.
Outside of work, Jacob enjoys kayaking, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He is proud to call Easley home and looks forward to continuing to serve local families through the Y.
