Matt Loftis is the Assistant Membership Director for the Easley YMCA. In this role, he is passionate about building meaningful relationships with members and ensuring everyone who walks through the doors feels seen and valued. His compassion and empathy are rooted in his own journey, which continues to inspire others daily.
Before joining the YMCA, Matt spent more than 15 years in full-time ministry, serving primarily as a Youth Pastor and later as a Church Pastor for four years. His heart for people and his passion for serving those in need continue to guide his work at the Y, where he strives to bring light and positivity to everyone he encounters.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys reading, especially books on history and philosophy, or diving into a good podcast. His favorite pastime, though, is going on adventures with his wife, exploring old bookstores and tucked-away coffee shops in small towns.
Matt is deeply grateful for the encouragement and community he’s found through the YMCA and feels blessed to now be a part of an organization that gave him so much when he needed it most.
