West Pelzer Elementary
The YMCA Afterschool Program provides a safe, nurturing, values centered environment that encourages the development of the whole child; intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. Activities are designed to expose children to new experiences and to allow them to explore their interests and talents.
All childcare payments are made by automatic draft. When you register for after school, the system will automatically register you for all of the 2023-24 weeks. Please note that weekly payments are made the following Tuesday for the week prior and based on attendance.
For example: If your child attends 3 or more after school days the week of August 7 you will be charged the weekly rate on Tuesday, August 15. If your child attends 1 or 2 after school days the week of August 7, you will be charged the drop-in rate on Tuesday, August 23. If your child does not attend the week of August 7, your account will not be charged on Tuesday, August 15.
If you are registering multiple children, please be aware that our system will not automatically generate the $5 off sibling discount. Prior to the first draft payment, our Accounts Receivable Director, will manually adjust your account to reflect a sibling discount.
If you are interested in receiving financial assistance for after school, please proceed with registering your child(ren) for the YMCA After School Program at West Pelzer Elementary School. After registering your child(ren), please contact the guidance counselor at West Pelzer Elementary School and let her/him know you would like to apply for a scholarship for the after school program.

Please understand that while we are in your child’s school we do not have access to any of the nurse’s medication. If your child needs to have any form of medication while in the YMCA After School Program, please complete a medication form and communicate with the YMCA Site Leader.
In-Service Days are $15 per day if you attend a full week of afterschool (3 or more after school days). In-Service Days are $30 per day if you attend 2 days or less of after school. You will need to register for the individual in-service days that you plan to attend. In-Service Day hours are 7am-6pm at the Powdersville YMCA. You can register here for the 2023-2024 in-service days.
Holiday Camp and Spring Break Camp
Both Holiday Camp and Spring Break Camp will be offered at the Powdersville YMCA, operating 7am-6pm. Registration for Holiday Camp, opening October 1st, can be found here. Registration for Spring Break Camp, opening February 1st, can be found here.
